FAQ: The PTSA
wants to get as many parent names in our Student Directory as possible.
WHY?
1. Parents may more easily contact and feel more comfortable contacting the
parents of their children's friends if the names are available in the
Student Directory.
2. The Student Directory provides a handy reference for teachers and
administrators.
3. Band Directors, drama coaches, sports coaches, and other teacher
sponsors can use the Student Directory to contact their student's families.
This is especially important when changes occur in after-school activities.
4. Parent invitations for the PTSA's Cougar Commendations, Science Fair
Open House, art award and Reflections ceremonies, etc. are compiled using
addresses from the Student Directory.
5. Having parent names in the Directory helps when contacting parent
volunteers.
FAQ: Will the PTSA
use parent name data from last year?
Yes, we will
publish parent data from the 2006-2007 school year. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO
CHECK THE 2006-2007 STUDENT DIRECTORY to confirm that the parent information
we have is correct. You must submit a new form if you wish to make any
changes to the information we have on file.
FAQ: About
the SEPTEMBER 7th deadline, and getting the form to the PTSA:
Our early deadline enables us to get the Student Directory published in time
to have them available for sale to parents at both Back-to-School nights.
PLEASE DO
NOT RELY ON YOUR STUDENT TO GET THIS FORM TO THE PTSA MAIL BOX.
We have noticed that many of these
forms languish in student backpacks well past the deadline. PLEASE MAKE
SURE YOUR FORM GETS DIRECTLY TO THE SCHOOL, EITHER BY MAIL OR BY PERSONALLY
DROPPING THE FORM OFF AT THE MAIN OFFICE IN THE SCHOOL LOBBY. The
easiest way to make sure your form gets to us is to fill out the form and
use the return envelope provided. If it's done early, you won't have to
worry about making sure you've sent it in time.
